March 3rd, World Wildlife Day

On 20 December 2013, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 3 March, the day of signature of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, best known as World Wildlife Day to celebrate and raise awareness of the world’s wild animals and plants, although in some places it is known as World Nature Conservation Day.

In 2017, the central theme of this commemorative date is “Listen to the Young Voices” inviting to open up a dialogue in the social media with the hashtags #DoOneThingToday #Youth4Wildlife.

In context, the word "nature" from the Latin natura, means "Of or pertaining to nature," this definition includes the natural environment and wild flora and fauna, mountains, underground rivers, lakes, cliffs, beaches and the various ecosystems, as well as the forces that make up the universe and which have not been affected by human beings or that continue to persist in spite of our intervention.

This day, it is an excellent opportunity to hang out with the family to walk, to contemplate the sunset, listening to the sounds of animals or just enjoy the natural beauties that surround us, as well as to reflect and understand the benefits that the conservation of these forms of life bring to human beings.

Another way to commemorate this day is to prevent and combat crimes against nature, from the indiscriminate felling of forests, illegal fishing and poaching, sale of endangered flora and fauna, since an ecological imbalance can have serious consequences, economic, environmental and social.

A simple action for the care of nature can make the difference; let us be consistent with our attitude and our actions. Small actions generate a great change.

Start with this difference saving the vaquita, we invite you yo donate today, all the resources will be destined to relocate the vaquitas in a place where they can reproduce and survive.
